Global Seminar Series: May 10, 2023
The 4th Working Time Society Global Seminar – “Working Hours and Health in Different Occupations: Recent Studies from Finland, Sweden and Norway” – was held on May 10th, 2023 2:45pm – 5:30pm CEST.
This seminar featured primarily the work of Early Career Researchers. It was organized by Mikael Sallinen and Anna Dahlgren and hosted by the WTS in collaboration with the working hour research groups of the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health, Karolinska Institute, the University of Bergn, and the National Institute of Occupational Health.
Speakers were:

Jussi Onninen: Reported causes of sleepiness in shift-working drivers
Päivi Vanttola: Physiological stress and working hours in hybrid working experts
Ingebjørg Louise Rockwell Djupedal: Effects of a work schedule without quick returns on sickness absence among health care workers: Results from a large-scale cluster randomized controlled trial
Kristin Öster: On the topic of quick returns – effects on sleep, stress and sleepiness in nurses
Jarno Turunen: The association of COVID19-pandemic and working hour characteristics in the Finnish public health care sector
Isabelle Hernandez: Managing working hours and staffing during the COVID-19 pandemic: An organizational recovery paradox
